It is so lightweight so there is no reason not to bring it.

I sweat a lot and this will help me with layering and not wearing too much when hiking. I love the dark forest color too.

I used this on a recent trip to Rocky Mountain National Park with snow cover mountains. Being able to communicate that I was safe to my wife in Oklahoma made her feel safe at home too. I won't go into the mountains without it going forward.

I was a bit skeptical about hiking in light weight joggers, but I gave them a try and this is what I found. They breath well and I avoided swamp butt and they dried quickly after my short day hike on the AT. I’m a heavy sweater so you could say I know what breaths and what doesn’t. The fabric stretches nicely for free movement scrambling up the rocky hills. The leg bottoms didn’t ride up like a would have expected going up hills. The cut is generous enough and not too baggy. Did a couple bushwhacking trip when nature called and they were unfazed. Not saying I would do an off trail expedition through an alder swamp with them, but they don’t seem near as fragile as my terre bonne joggers. The color is pretty sharp looking and they are sweet to lounge on the couch in or hit the gym. I do not regret spending the money on these quality joggers.

I’m 5’4 and 105 lb and the small fit me very well. I can wear them as is or with long underwear underneath.
Very light weight, with 2 side pockets and a zippered back pocket for phone or wallet.
The goblin blue color can pass for army green. The pants allow your body to move freely and the ankle cuffs aren’t tight or restrictive.
The waist tightener on the front waistband is small and cleverly designed, but I probably won’t be needing it.

So like many new comers to backpacking I have navigated the market starting with Academy and Amazon gear. As the years have passed I see now what a waste of time and resources I have spent. I wouldn’t trade it for the world as I have had some great times on the trail. Ultimately you get what you pay for and Outdoor Vitals has the best bang for your buck. The Shadowlight pack I recently purchased is no exception. As light as I would like to go without sacrificing organization and functionality. Super comfortable with loads of adjustability. I can’t tell you the amount of time I have spent researching packs to finally pull the trigger on this one and I am not disappointed.

These sun hoodies are incredibly lightweight and quick-drying. As someone who works and plays outside much of the summer and HATES applying sunscreen, I basically live in sun shirts. I had been wearing shirts from Outdoor Research that were basically the same material; I was thrilled when I tried the Outdoor Vitals Altitude and found that it is just as comfortable and functional as the ones I had, while it also A) is less expensive, and B) has a more form-flattering women's fit. I've never been disappointed with an OV piece of clothing, and the Altitude is no exception!
