Maximum Warmth. Minimal Weight. Designed for the Alpine.
The Vantage Alpine Puffy is built for one thing: delivering ultralight warmth above the treeline. Whether you're glassing ridgelines at dawn or waiting out windchill on exposed alpine routes, this 15.2 oz insulated jacket traps heat and blocks wind—without excess features or weight.
Powered by 850 fill ExpeDRY™ down with Fuze nanogold technology, the Vantage dries faster and rebounds better than DWR down. Combined with Zero Stitch™ baffle construction, it’s 40% more wind resistant than standard stitched-through down puffies—keeping critical warmth locked in when the temperature drops at elevation.

Zero Stitch™ Fabric
We've worked with fabric mills to develop a fabric that has built-in spaces for down as it is created.
Zero Stitch ™ fabric utilizes innovative technology to literally weave down chambers into place. There are no stitches, and no bonding. You can't snag a stitch that isn't there, and neither wind, water, nor dirt can enter through stitch holes that don't exist.
By interweaving the fibers of the jacket's fabric to create baffle chambers, neither stitch holes nor bonding (which can come apart) are needed. The result is one sheet of fabric with 2 layers & built-in down chambers.
This makes the jacket much more reliable in terms of water resistance & maintaining the integrity of your down. Impurities don't enter into the down through Zero Stitch™ fabric, & the down itself can't escape. Additionally, Zero Stitch™ fabric makes the Vantage Alpine Down Jacket 40% more wind resistant than other down puffy jackets.

ExpeDRY™ Nanogold Down
ExpeDRY™ Down, which incorporates FUZE technology with gold nano-particles, is a critical component of the Vantage Alpine Down Jacket. This innovative down insulation has been specifically designed to improve the drying speed of down by using gold, which attacks the hydrogen bond of a water molecule - preventing the formation of water droplets and allowing for more rapid evaporation.

This process has proven to be so effective that there is minimal loss in loft over multiple days of use. Similarly rated products using other down types lost higher percentages of loft over the same amount of time during testing.
In real-world application, ExpeDRY is much more reliable for day-in day-out use & reliability.

Product Care
Your Vantage jacket is a high performance piece of gear. It needs some extra attention to keep it performing at the highest level.
Please read through the care instructions below to ensure that you care for it properly:
Before Washing
- Always wash your Vantage completely alone to prevent down migration.
- Never wash your Vantage in a washing machine that has an agitator.
- If you cannot follow either of these prior instructions you should hand wash your jacket using the detergent and drying process described below.
The Wash & Dry Process
- Use a mild detergent like Dreft (for babies) or Nikwax (for technical gear).
- Choose Low Spin or Delicate wash.
- Choose Cold Wash & Cold Rinse.
- Hang dry until the jacket is completely dry.
- Then loft and redistribute your down insulation in the dryer by running it for 10 minutes on low or no heat with 3 dryer balls.

"This jacket is the sweet spot for weight and warmth for me..it's significantly warmer than the slightly lighter down jackets I have used in the past."
"Great fit. Great to layer under- especially with the OV midweight piece."
"Easily the most comfortable and enjoyable puffy jacket I have ever worn."
"I have not yet had ANY issues at all with durability on the jacket. I really like the shell material in that it has a matted appearance, softened/quieter yet more durable feel relative to most puffy jackets..."
"I tested this coat against a Kuiu Super Down Pro and Stone Glacier Grunman. This coat blows away the Stone Glacier. Its close to the Kuiu, but I found this coat to be warmer AND I felt it did a good job blocking wind."
"Excellent with mid layer and base-layer. I had it in wind, cold temps, and just about everything in between."
No Wind Leaks, No Cold Spots
Zero Stitch™ Fabric
Our unique Zero Stitch™ fabric blocks 40% more wind than other down jackets, and prevents heat from escaping your body. It will prevent down loss and protect down from moisture & contaminants like dust that degrade your down.

Fast-Drying, More Reliable Long Term
ExpeDRY™ Down
This down insulation was specifically designed to improve the drying speed of down by using gold nano-particles, which attack the hydrogen bond of a water molecule - preventing the formation of water droplets and allowing for more rapid evaporation.
