Most comfortable sleeping pad I've used. I have yet to take it out but did sleep on it in the house and it is very comfortable. The pump sack takes about 5-7 sacks to pump up depending how full you get the sack each time. The fabric used on top is very soft and stretchy and really forms to your body just make sure not to overfill the pad. It is not slick like some pads are. I am a side and stomach sleeper and this is the best pad I have ever had. I've had 5-6 over the past 15 years. This one has been the most expensive by far. I went back and forth on what to purchase between this one or the Xtherm and decided comfort over insulation since I rarely sleep in very cold conditions although I have slept in negative digits a few times. I went with the Regular wide and am so glad I did. I'm only 5'5 but muscular and have broad shoulders. All my other pads are 20" or less and a couple mummy shaped so the 26" width is so nice. I have a little elbow room unlike with the other pads I own I often had an elbow or knee off the pad at night. The height is 73" and I found I could lay with my arms above my head under the pillow while on my stomach and it was perfect for me. The weight penalty will be worth the comfort since I don't care about being ultralight. I am a veteran and use to carrying 40+ pounds for miles and I'm not doing through hikes or anything. I will be using this pad for elk hunting in Colorado in October. If anything changes and I can update the review, if needed, after October I will do so.
A good night's sleep has always been difficult in the back country for me. I have a thinner light weight pad for my big backpacking trips, but I needed another pad for car camping and shorter hikes. I started a new job were I live out of a tent about 14 nights/month and needed to be more comfortable. This pad was the ticket! I am just over 6 feet tall and 220lbs, so I bottom out on a number of pads if I start rolling over or don't have it fully inflated, hasn't happened on this pad yet! The stretchy top material feels super comfortable with my quilt. I sleep pretty well through the night now and don't have to wake up and roll over every 1.5 hours.
I am a large guy—250 lbs—and a side sleeper. I used to carry a 3-inch inflatable and closed cell pad. I am hoping this pad can keep me off the ground. Testing at home says yes, and I take it on trial this weekend! The top is also a nice fabric, not too slippery.
Havent tsken this for a true test. yet.
Though have inflated it and quickly fell in love.. Given the thickness and width.. me being a side sleeper this appesrs to fit the bill.
Unfortunately i cant attest for warmth yet. Though the extra few ounces defintely worth it for me for a comfortable night sleep.
The price point was fair and looking forward to this beinf my go to pad.
