Summit- named after the summit of a mountain, this sleeping bag will survive being pushed to the limits and the most extreme backcountry scenarios.
The Summit Line is our flagship premium sleeping bag series that can be compared to any high-end sleeping bag on the market. Cutting no corners we utilize top of the line materials and manufacturing best practices to provide the lightest to pack, warmest nights sleep you've ever had in the backcountry!
Technical products all start with the materials you put in them and the Summit bags have the best of the best. Ultralight ripstop fabrics keep things light, while still adding durability. StormLOFT™ 800+ fill power hydrophobic down has been both certified and RDS sourced to make you feel like your sleeping in a warm cloud of comfort.
These materials are then carefully sewn into our hybrid baffle system to lock the right amounts of down into place around your body. This all adds up to more comfort for you both in more warmth and room.

Things I love about this bag:
The insulation. The fill power is great and it compresses nicely. It seems that the baffling pattern will continue to keep the down where it needs to be.
The zipper. It's large and does not snag the bag very easily. I didn't know what I'd like of the middle zipper location, but it was very easy use and I opened the bag several times during the night, it was quite convenient. I'm interested to see if I like the zipper location when I have this bag on a warmer night and want to use it unzipped... I like how with the side zippers I can use the bag like a quilt and let some cool air in.
Quality. It's a high quality bag. Better than some Marmots and on par with a Mountain Hardware bag I've used in the past. The ripstop fabric is very impressive... so lightweight, but durable.
Fit: I'm 5'11", 160lbs and I think I max out the regular bag.
I was surprised that this bag did not come with a compression sack like the 15 degree bag I bought for my wife from OV a couple of years ago. But, there are some good cheap compression sacks on Amazon.
Thanks for the win, OV! I already got one friend to buy this same bag. (He's 6' and 200lbs, he had to get the Long/wide version)
I am 6'3" and ordered the long 0 degree, it is super snug, I mean from head to toe. I understand mummy's are tight width wise and that was fine. But from head to toe it was tight enough that there was pressure on both when zipped tight... shocked. No way anyone taller than 6'3" would fit, maybe I got a one off error?!?
Granted I'm a warm sleeper but, even for me, I only needed the - 15 degree version when temperatures got to zero F or colder. The first time I used it the temp got down to 20 deg and I was way too warm and sweating. Even in temperatures approaching zero I have to take off my socks. If the temp is above 20 I just unzip it and use it like a quilt. So, if you know you need something for extremely cold temps, then definitely go for the - 15 version.
I recently bought this bag in the tall and wide. I am a avid hunter and outdoorsman and spend a lot of time in the backcountry. I am 6’ 230lbs and this bag fit’s like a champ with plenty of room. The best part of this bag to me is the zipper on the top which is easy access. Along with quality and being super light weight for a 0* bag. We will have to wait and see on the durability but I’m sure it will be fine. Looks like I have a new favorite.
Yeah it’s warm but I’m 6 ft tall and bought the long version 6’6”. Feels like it’s built for someone who is 5’10”. This bag isn’t anywhere near “LONG”
