Peak Tier Membership

I've been a Standard member for a while now and the $10/month membership has basically paid for itself. You get $10 in store credit every single month. I let mine accumulate over time and then apply it to bigger-ticket items like sleeping bags or shelters. It's not a discount exactly, more like a forced savings plan that works in your favor. If you're someone who shops here regularly or has your eye on a higher-end piece of gear, the math is pretty simple: the membership costs you nothing in the long run. Solid program from a brand that clearly wants to reward its loyal customers.

It's like a quiet little savings account building up while I go about my usual days. I already own most of the gear I need, but it does eventually wear out or need to be replaced because the upgrade is worth it, (the Shadowlight Carbon being an example). Until such time as I quit backpacking I'll just keep my membership.

Overall OV products, styles, memberships, and services is a top notch. I can’t ask for more but always thankful for doing above and beyond to the outdoor community. The details, honesty, care and time you put up makes a lot of difference. You're a true global stewardship . Keep it up!

I've decided to keep my membership as is. My back has actually improved; my doctor tells me I might hike again if I can get in shape. Now I have a year's work ahead of me. My plan regarding my membership is if I can get in shape I will buy the 15 lb kit for a weekend hike and be satisfied with that. Any feed back from you?

This is a cool idea investing in a small business that makes quality products. I have yet to use my store credits but now Im approaching the credits as a way to slowly set aside some $$ to purchase a larger ticket item. When on a budget this helps and you can choose the $10 or $25 per month and cancel anytime.

I love the direct to consumer model this company operates by. Most of the time.

I first discovered OV with a promotion ad for a small items which I tried and loved. Which led to a second purchase, third, etc.
The membership is super obvious if you are going to spend more than $120/year and I fully recommend it for the discounts and other small benefits. Its a great small company, the quality of the gear is very high and its always well researched and designed perfectly.

Cannot say enough great things about this, has totally changed how I get gear.

Money in the Bank

I love this membership. With the discounts, the products become more affordable and with the membership I can slowly accumulate the funds needed to purchase my next ultralight gear.

I will be shopping for a new backpack at PCT days this August. I live in Oregon & have been there before when my wife & I hiked in 2021 & 2023.
We will talk w the various vendors & try on packs to help me decide.

Standard Membership

I look at my Standard Membership as a forced savings which allows me to build up a balance in my account to purchase special items. Additionally, free shipping and special discounts are a major bonus. Even though I am not hiking that much anymore, I continue to be a member and purchase OV’s innovative clothing which they offer at a discount.

The OV membership is a great way to save money toward a large purchase. Money is deducted monthly from my account and accrues at OV to be used when I want. I also get discounts as a member. It's a win/win!

I like the Outdoor Vitals membership as a gear wishlist that I look forward to using to purchase a new item that I can use on my hikes in my area. The gear is well made and researched by the team at OV. The discount is also a bonus and early viewing of new products is also helpful. I also get to share the company with others who may ask about a piece of clothing or gear.

This is a fun way to save money, get benefits, and get new products for outdoor exploring. Just when I think I’ve got everything I’ll ever need….OV comes out with something that captures my imagination…..If I was younger and doing more, I’d upgrade the plan!
