Peak Refuel Premium Freeze Dried Meals

Flavor, Nutrient Density (especially protein) and Weight hands down best meals I have discovered. My daughter and I fueled ourselves for close to 60 nights on the trail last summer eating nothing but Peak Refuel while we were backcountry (obviously town food while in town). And this summer we are planning on another 60-80 nights. It's lightweight, tasty and a ton of variety so we won't get bored with the same flavors over and over.

My only complaint is that the packaging is not great for the trail, we break them down into quart freezer bags before packing them out to reduce size and weight. And Outdoor Vitals has the best price around for members, even better than buying directly from Peak (including the Mendes meals). With the money we saved buying from OV, even including postage, it is cheaper and easier to supply with mail drops and know we have a complete diet than piece something together on trail. It is a win/win - OV with Peak Refuel and Alpen Fuel are the foundations of the complete diet we chose to complete the Appalachian Trail and fuel our bodies for big mile days.

Huge fan of the perks offered through the membership and one of the best benefits is access to the pantry. The peak refuel meals are so delicious and getting them so quickly and at a good price point is marvelous.

I love the beef stroganoff, chicken alfredo,and the chicken pesto. I repackage into 2 servings by adding my dehydrated quinoa and olive oil when rehydrating works great for me.

I was strictly a Mtn House meals consumer but tried some of the Peak Refuel meals and liked them. Some of the meals list quite a few more calories and protein than the meals I had been eating previously. Hopefully the listed nutritional information is accurate. Anyway, the PR meals I've had were good and satisfied my hunger. I'll continue to purchase both brands when I need backcountry meals.

Totally surprised by the taste of this! It’s great! It’s made me want to try more of the Peak Fuel brand compared to Mountain House! My new favorite brand! Plus, it’s better pricing thru OV compared to retail!!

Found that buying the Peak meals here on Outdoor Vitals was one of the cheapest options. Bought the White Chicken Chili for my wife and she gave it the thumbs up this past weekend out on the trail. I asked her if I should get it again and I was told yes. That's all I need to hear.

Have used these for years and the quality is there every time. I love to bring some Cajun seasoning for the chicken Alfredo and homestyle chicken & rice.

Can’t go wrong with Peak Refuel meals. I’ve had several and they all tasted great.

We ate these on a recent camping trip and they really are tasty! Lots of protein and calories for demanding days. I wouldn't really say it includes two servings, though-we needed a whole bag each after hiking. Favorite freeze-dried meals by far.

Good and hearty breakfast for the morning of a big hike! Fueled me up perfectly -- took to rehydration really well and loved the flavor and consistency. I tend to add a smidge less water than specified in the instructions when I'm cooking my backpacking meals and that worked perfectly in this case. And I know the package says it has 2 servings, but I can't imagine eating half the bag. I'd say the full bag was the ideal amount of food before a full day of trekking.

I've been camping and backpacking for 30 some years. Add in 6 years in the military, and I've tried basically every freeze-dried or shelf-stable meal there is. Peak Refuel are hands down my favorite. Excellent taste, great nutrition, good calorie count, and highly packable. I can't recommend these enough.

Butternut Dal Bhat is one of my favorite dehydrated meals. Peak Refuel brings exotic flavor and texture to my campsite!

The Coconut Curry Chicken is one of the best freeze dried meals I’ve ever had.
