I switched to this tarp from a 4 season tarp to save some weight. Its maiden voyage was this past week on a 4 day trip. The second day the wind and rain came in. This tarp handled some pretty high winds and heavy rain like a champ. My only concern when I received the tarp was the tensioners. Those concerns are gone. They are easy to use and held up to the wind.
I've purchased two of these now. My wife's works great, I love the cinching technology, the cordage, the material, and the weight.
I recommended it to my brother to enhance his setup, and convinced him. So I bought another, and his cinching keeps coming loose after only a few hours in nice weather.
This could cause weather to get under and make for a bad experience if his sleeping gear got wet.
I wish we noticed sooner, as I bought this a year ago. I'm guessing it was just a manufactures defect, as my wife's still works great.
Still, I hesitate to recommend it again for this reason...
I'll stick with my exped scout which I've had for about 10 years and I've yet to see a better hammock system. (Other than the price).

Great addition to my low weight hunting pack, used it during a heavy squall the day after I received it! Set up in about 2 minutes….myself, brother and gear all stayed dry! Excellent product
