Compact, Convenient, and Capable

While I prefer Picaridin lotion packets, Natrapel Picaridin Wipes are more compact and convenient for pack and pocket carry, and are effective as an easily applied repellent. Certainly Permethrin treatment of clothing that provides proper coverage of exposed skin should not be overlooked, but there are times when a quick decision for a day hike or forest preserve outing results in lack of the preparation and precautions made for a planned trek. In such cases always having a few of these small wipes tucked away in a pack pocket to be on hand, or grabbed before heading out the door can prevent being plagued by buzzing and bites. Effectiveness used to be cited as "8 hours", now "12 hours", but I'd just make sure I had a few for each day and insure good application to exposed skin. Again, I always recommend Permethrin treatment and Picaridin lotion application before heading out into the woods, but also make sure I'm carrying a few of these Picaridin wipes along in pack or pants pocket .
