HyperDry down is our most up-to-date down insulation offered, It is RDS Sourced (responsibly sourced), is 3rd party verified/guaranteed to have 800+Fill power or better, and has been treated to be water resistant to the down level. Not only is the shell water resistant, but so is the down inside of the bag.
LoftTek Hybrid insulation is 80% loose fill synthetic insulation mixed with 20% down (800 fill power). This hybrid blend creates a synergistic insulation that is more stable than a loose fill synthetic on its own, but still retains the abilities of synthetic insulation (it will stay lofted and warm even when wet).
The LoftTek Hybrid insulation can be useful for people who:
1. Do a lot of camping in damp/rainy climates.
2. Spend a lot of consecutive nights in cold temperatures where the dew point of their perspiration may be reached inside the insulation. In other words, the vapor from your body condenses to liquid as it is moving from the inside of the quilt, and then cannot pass through the shell fabric of the bag. Typically, this is not an issue above freezing, and generally not a concern unless you’ve been out for 4-5 nights without a chance to dry your bag.
