We have not had our sleeping bags tested for European EN ratings. EN ratings are a standard that measures a bag's Comfort Rating / Lower Limit / and Extreme rating. Based on feedback and use we estimate that our sleeping bags ratings are closest to the middle "Lower Limit" rating also often referred to as the Men’s rating. Thus, a 20° rated bag will be comfortable for the average man at about 20° outside. Learn more about our temperature ratings by Clicking Here To View Video
Unfortunately, we are not able to offer any custom work.
You might be able to get away with using the 6’ bag if you are up to 6’ ½”. Anything over that, you might feel a bit snug in the 6’ length. The same rule applies to the short 5’6” size. If you are more than a ½” beyond that, you probably will want to size up.
The HyperDry down is our most up-to-date down insulation offered, It is RDS Sourced (responsibly sourced), is 3rd party verified/guaranteed to have 800+Fill power or better, and has been treated to be water resistant to the down level. Not only is the shell water resistant, but so is the down inside of the bag.
The LoftTek Hybrid insulation is 80% loose fill synthetic insulation mixed with 20% down (800 fill power). This hybrid blend creates a synergistic insulation that is more stable than a loose fill synthetic on its own, but still retains the abilities of synthetic insulation (it will stay lofted and warm even when wet).
The LoftTek Hybrid insulation can be useful for people who:
- Do a lot of camping in damp/rainy climates.
- Spend a lot of consecutive nights in cold temperatures where the dew point of their perspiration may be reached inside the insulation. In other words, the vapor from your body condenses to liquid as it is moving from the inside of the quilt, and then cannot pass through the shell fabric of the bag. Typically, this is not an issue above freezing, and generally not a concern unless you’ve been out for 4-5 nights without a chance to dry your bag.
