More Usable Space Than Most UL Tents

Many trekking pole tents can feel cramped or limit head & foot space. The Cirq has a longer floor than most UL tents and a taller peak than any trekking pole tent we've seen yet.

It fits most up to 6'6" comfortably WITHOUT brushing your head or feet against the tent wall fabric all night.

Most users can easily kneel in the Cirq to pack up with room to spare.

This additional space & clearance helps keep sleeping bags off wet walls IF condensation does occur.

This tent is everything I was looking for and more

This tent is everything I was looking for and more.
You can really see the attention to detail that was put into this tent. From the fabric to the guy lines all the way to zippers this tent was intentionally designed.

It's so easy to pitch and has plenty of floor space. I've met some people who complain about pitching a tent like this but it was super simple. I got it right the first time and was able to make minor adjustments.

The zippers are easy to use.
I really appreciate the vented roof space to reduce condensation.
This is my second trekking pole tent and I'm so happy I have it!

Amazing Tent

Immediately tested this tent with a 3-week backpacking trip through the PNW. Camped on creeks, mountains, alpine lakes, snowy ridges, and just about every situation and elevation. This thing held up wonderfully. It sets up so easy and the interior space is really amazing. The length and design do a great job combatting wet sleeping bags and floors. It held up really well for me in intense rain, snow, and wind. Couldn't recommend it more.

First Trekking Pole Tent for the UHT

Just received my first trekking pole tent for Fathers Day. Had to set it up immediately. Love how quick and easy it was to setup. My son just purchased a Durston tent and struggled with the setup. I’m happy with it so far but the Uinta Highline Trail will be the real test. Will update right after the hike but by the quality and ease of setup, I’m very optimistic that this tent will be my new favorite!

Custom service

Simply put, the most delayed and lengthy return/ refund process on planet. I returned an unopened package (received 4/2/26) with tent and all, yet I’m still waiting (4/23/26) on the to processing a simple return for a refund. I won’t be buying from OV again.

Great single person tent !

When itcomes to weight vs quality vs price this tent meet it it right where it counts. It is very easy to set up and take down and it's very compact. I was actually very impressed with how much room was inside of this single person tent. It makes great use of other items like your trekking poles versus carrying extra poles for extra weight. I use carbon z poles from Black diamond and it was recommended to use different poles but I 3D printed an adapter to make up the difference for the one side that needs to be taller and it works great. I'm very happy with the tent and it be in my pack or gear for every single person trip I take.

The Cirq tent is a huge improvement over the Fortius

The Cirq tent is a huge improvement over the Fortius. I used it for the first time on the Fiery Gizzard Trail. No condensation, great ventilation and, best of all, the tent wasn't in my face or on my feet. I had to tweak the stake placement on the first pitch to remove wrinkles but had it dialed-in after that. I haven't storm tested it yet but will post an update on that in the future. I almost forgot, lots of headroom and space for gear.

Awesome UL tent! Big improvement over Fortius 1p.

I also have the Fortius 1p and it's been my favorite UL 1p tent so far. I was never very fond of the dark green color and wish it was poly instead of nylon so it didn't sag when wet. Well, the Cirq fixes both those issues! They both about the same weight at 1.6ish lbs without stakes.

I thought the 8" high bathtub floor might be too high, but I barely notice it being taller at all. It's actually just fine.

The 3 pieces of Velcro along the ridge vent was a little confusing at first, because the prop barely opens the vent enough to stop the outer Velcro from sticking again. Then I discovered you can use the Velcro from the vestibule to fold the door back over the tent and attach it to the ridge vent Velcro. Pretty cool as I didn't see that mentioned anywhere. It also solves a complaint I have with most door toggles being too low even with the fabric furled.

One thing I would and will change is the outer corner tie-downs. I want to connect the bathtub and corners together with micro paracord so only one stake is required at each corner, because I like to stake the tub too. The other thing I don't care for is the back wall being higher than the Fortius, i.e. mesh vent smaller. I know OV said it was for extra privacy but I didn't see that being an issue before. I liked being about to look out the tent some on that side and that's definitely harder now.

So I love the tent, the color, the size, the weight, and the price is good especially if you buy the membership to get $10 off plus the membership discount.

Super roomy tent

I was able to take this tent on a weekend camping trip right after it showed up. I love how small the footprint is, setup was a breeze, and that it came with all the necessary guylines. I love that I had just enough room for me (5'11) and my gear inside the tent. I never felt like the tent was going to collapse on me or that it was going to tear if I'm too rough with it.
I didn't even mind only having 1 pocket. I kept my glasses in those when I slept. I slept close to a lake in Texas and had no condensation. Highly recommend.

My First Trekking Pole Tent

My First Trekking Pole Tent
I'm not a huge UL backpacker...nor am I a backpacker. I am however someone who loves an opportunity to enjoy the outdoors...with as little effort as possible. I'll admit, I have a lot of camping gear (a lot unused), but alway on the ready. I have a number of 2P and 3P tents from the other manufacturers, including Marmot, Nemo, Big Agnes...All great tents and gear. I've also got a lot of OV gear, including packs, jackets. Early on I signed up for their loyalty program with a monthly deposit. When OV said they were coming out with a new UL tent I absolutely took advantage of some banked dollars and when it was announced, I took advantage and ordered.
Today was the first chance I had to pitch it in my backyard and all I can say is....WOW simple (instructions were included)..the Easton stakes were a great surprise and ENOUGH were sent (8) to properly pitch the tent. I did not use a footprint as I had some fresh cut grass to set up on and soft ground. Followed the instructions (which I read once) and it was up. Thank you OV.

I think you're going to see a lot of these on trail!

I've been hesitant to commit to an A-frame tent due to my height (6'3"), but the peak of this shelter brings the walls up a bit more steeply and I don't feel cramped at all. I was considering the Bonfus Solus 1P, but the price difference makes this a no brainer. The craftsmanship is impeccable, materials are nice and supple and the color scheme is very pleasant. The Cirq pitches easily and quickly, with plenty of tie-outs to add stability when necessary. No at-home seam sealing nonsense, it's ready to go straight out of the stuff sack. Some may think the cordage is a bit overkill, but for a few extra grams, hit handles nicely, bites onto the line-loc's really well and resists the tangling common with smaller diameter cords. I prefer DAC J-stakes, but they may be difficult to source (just guessing). At least stakes are provided. The Cirq is going to be tough to beat!

Excellent tent with tons of room for one person

Tent is super easy to set up. You stake out the corners, put your trekking poles in and then stake out the guys and canopy. Takes a few minutes. Tent is a little hungry on tent stakes. Needs a few more than my old tent and its not super clear when you buy this tent how many stakes are needed and the fact that it does not come with any. That could be improved OV.

There is tons of room inside. I am 6ft 5", but there was still room to put my pack at the feet end or if you like store outside in the spacious awnings. I did not have any issue with condensation. Zips are great. Getting in an out is super easy. And did I mention that its easy to sit up in the tent, tons of headroom. I tried it with trekking poles and I also purchased the optional poles designed for this tent, for those flat trips where I don't want to take poles.
Overall a win and I will be taking on the JMT in 3w after this try out.

Fantastic Tent!

This tent was so easy to setup, and much roomier than I expected, no problem having my backpack in the tent with me. Large Vestibule, and no condensation so far! I think this tent hits the perfect sweet spot between size, weight, price, and ease of use. Highly recommend!

Blew away my expectations

I read that it was roomier than other 1p UL tents but I was surprised just how much space it had for me, a pad, and my gear. It rained hard one might and I stayed comfortable and dry. The roof vent ports that prop open are so innovative. I love this tent and I'm not only going to use it for backpacking, but all camping now as well.

Easy to Set Up

This tent is my first dive into trekking pole tents. I looked at several different brands over the last few years, and this tent was the only one that appealed to me enough to try. I'll hold back one star just because I have not used another trekking pole tent to compare with.
It seems well made, light and extremely easy to set up and tear down. I did find the fiddle factor almost nonexistent. A side note, the Easton carbon tent stakes were great. This tent setup will definitely be more efficient in setting up and trearing down camp. Also easier to pack and less weight to carry. I like the door height being an older guy. Makes it easier to get in and out. I was concerned about the 28 inch width being a bigger guy, but it is manageable even being a contorted side sleeper. Another 4 inches in width would be great, but I was comfortable.
I liked the tent enough that I ordered the tent poles for it to try on some small bikepacking trips.

Easy and user friendly tent.

This is my first time doing a review for any type of outdoor gear, but I must write a quick one for the Cirq tent. I took a chance to buy this trekking pole tent; I’m somewhat of an intermediate experience backpacker after a very long hiatus of not backpacking. I usually watch or read reviews about tents, and it seems the consensus of trekking poles are somewhat difficult to pitch even though I had always had an interest of buying one. I bought outdoor vitals products before this review and I was happy with their performance, and I decided to buy the cirq tent and give it a try. All I can say, I’m pleased with the tent and how easy it is to set it up, and how roomy it is to put your backpack inside and not outside the vestibule. It’s easy to set up and to take down with minimum effort. I took longer setting up and tearing down my 1p free standing tent than the Cirq tent. Thank you Outdoor Vitals for the great product.

Great setup for tall backpackers!

I've had the Cirq set up for a few days in the yard, and slept in it for two nights. A few of my initial impressions are; a four minute set up - the first time! The stunning amount of entry and rear vestibule space, the line locks make adjustments simple, 53" + of doorway headroom and steep sidewalls for minimum amount of accidental gear and head contact. Finally, the Easton stakes are awesome! My scale is just under two pounds with six stakes.

As a wide 6'2", this tent allows. me to sit up, even with socks hanging from the internal peak line, and I can stretch out without contacting the tent ends.

While a. simple yard test, I am eager to get this tent on the trail and will re-post after a good field test.
