Women's Satu Outdoor Pants

These pants are so comfortable and have a soft feel that makes them a pleasure to wear. They were a little snug in the waist but roomy everywhere else so instead of returning them I sewed an extra button on the waistband and they’re perfect I wouldn’t have bothered except that I liked them too much to give up on them. Love tat they don’t have a logo (even tho I love the owl!)so I can wear them non-hiking too. Best part is my phone fits in the low pocket and these pants don’t fall down while I hike!

I have a pair of the Satu shorts. I liked them so much that I tried the pants. I appreciate the ample cell phone pocket on the thigh and plenty of other pockets. They are great travel pants. The fabric is comfortable. The only issue I've had is that they retained creases from being folded for packaging. Hopefully this issue will resolve after a few more wash cycles.

Half the year I live out of Mystery Ranch Wildland fire pack. My backpacking lifestyle is also my career so when I need gear to fit that lifestyle, it really has to hack it. I guess this is a double whammy review for both the satu pants and nova jacket. The fact that the gear is also local for me is very special. Thank you for good products that gets me through long hot days and cold desert nights.
5’2”- 123lbs- I got a 6 Regular in green and a 6 long in grey (because they were out of other options)

I admit I ordered these pants, not expecting to like them. Truth be told they are quickly becoming my favorite. Fit is great, they wash easily, resist wrinkles, look and feel great, durable construction. I followed sizing chart and I am very happy with the features. Very nice addition to my gear.

New Update: I took a little tumble today. Twisted my ankle and landed on my knee. I had a walking stick so that helped. The knee tore up. I was hoping these pants would have been a bit more durable.

I do like these pants but I wish they had a little bit more give in the waist. Everywhere else fits perfectly but the waist doesn’t have much stretch. Like it’s got a cinch belt but my waist would need to be ann inch or two smaller to fit perfectly. I’m a little worried about a long day and bloating that happens on the trail for me some times.

That being said, I’m keeping the pants bc everything else fits great and I’ll just work on getting that waist an inch or two smaller on myself.

I’m 5.8, 195 pounds and I have a 40 inch waist.

I absolutely love these pants! As someone with clothing-fit sensitivities, I don't often wear anything with a button fly. I was also wary as my past experiences with outdoor clothing tends to not be very accommodating for someone deemed "plus size" by the market. These pants are SO comfortable! They are roomy without being baggy, and the amount of stretch is perfect. I find they fit very well and the measurement guide was accurate. Deep pockets, neatly hidden elastic, a functioning built-in belt, and quick-drying fabric make these perfect for outdoor activities, and they look great just running errands too! I immediately ordered a second pair in another color. Thank you O.V. for all the attention to details!

LOVE these pants. I have bought countless hiking pants over the years, and none ever fit just right. Not the case with these. They fit great and are extremely comfortable. No sitting too low! I will be buying more. Outdoor Vitals, PLEASE do not try to improve these…they are already perfect! 5’11, 175, size 16, regular.

Due to strike action of Canada Post I have not yet received my parcel- they look cozy!

I am really pleased with these pants. They are very high quality, very practical, and thoughtfully designed. The stretch and durability of the fabric is impressive. The color is as depicted in the photos. I ordered my normal pant size first and they were too small-tight in the thigh and very tight on the waist. I had to order one size larger and this seems to fit perfectly.

I used the What's My Size feature which suggested size 8 regular. I normally wear a size 6, but several reviewers mentioned this pant (and the shorts, too) have a snug waist. Hence, I sized up to 8 because sale items cannot be returned. The 2 pants and 1 short I ordered fit somewhat loose in the waist and they are VERY baggy in the hip/thigh area. I have to keep them, and I will wear them. I have 3 replacements in my cart, size 6, awaiting a forecast sale. For reference in sizing I am: 5'8", 125#, 29" waist, 32" hips. I particularly like the abundant and roomy pockets, side leg vents, and drawstring at the pant ankles.

The overall fit was fabulous, but it sits higher than my average high waisted jeans so the waist was a bit snug… Wish it would have some sort of half inch button allowance

I bought the women's active pants for a 6 day backpacking trip in Hawaii, '6,000 to 13,700. The terrain is all kinds of crazy lava including the a'a flows with many softball size rocks for miles of trail. These pants are thicker than other top brands but the sharpness of the rock will truly test the durability. I've done this hike twice before with thiner pants...I have a good feeling about these for the Ainapo Trail.

These pants are great for either the garden, Hiking or going to the Office.
Looks casual - yet so functional!

I bought the pants for a trip to Africa this summer and have been wearing them hiking this spring to “ test” them. I usually wear a 10/12, so I bought a 12. I like to wear hiking pants a bit loose and these are perfect. They are nice looking too, so I could go straight to a bbq and look put together.

Super cute pants but unfortunately they did not fit me. Super big in the hips and tight in the waist. I ordered size 12. I'm 5'2" and 163 pounds.

Nice pants but my wife didn’t like the high rise style. They were on sale, no return’s.

My initial impression of these pants has been really positive. I was looking forward to trying these after hearing them recommended by Youtuber Eric Hanson, who's wife apparently loves them.
They seem sturdy and I appreciate the added waist adjustment webbing. I initially ordered a 10 based on the "Wair" sizing tool, but switched to a 12 after consulting the actual size guide. (For reference, I am a 34 waist with athletic but thicker thighs and calves) I'm really glad that I did because the 12 waist fits me perfectly. I do wish the hips and legs of the pants were slightly slimmer fitting, as shown on the model pictured. I was hoping for a slightly tighter fit but will still get a lot of use out of these once the Sierra high country begins melting out!

I am 5'3" 135 lbs and ordered a 10 based on the Size Guide.
The legs and seat are huge and unless I pay extra to have them altered I would never wear them. None of the reviews that I read indicated that the legs and seat were so baggy. The Brown color is more of a Kacky Color not Brown.

I like the pockets and side panels I can open for breath ability but the pants do run small so I would go a size up.

I purchased a pair of these for my wife for Christmas. I love how they looked and wanted her to have a high quality pair of pants to hike/backpack in. She loved how they fit enough to wear them on our 3 day backpacking trip into the Chisos Mountains in TX. She loved them. She stated that all of the other womens outdoor pants stretch out during her backpacking trips. These did not. Even without a belt on, they stayed perfectly fit the whole time going up and down mountains and stairs. She loved them so much that she wanted a second pair!

I originally ordered size 12 reg based on the Wair “what’s my size” thing. Fit great everywhere but felt a little tight around my belly when I sat down, as I was about to start my period and was quite bloated. Wearing them for a second hike they fit a bit looser around the tummy. I bought a second pair in size 14 to have a roomier pair for layering and to be just a bit more comfortable during the bloat-y time of the month. For the record I’m 5’6”, 180lbs, definitely “curvy”. Overall I really like these pants so far. I like the built-in belt so I can tighten the bigger pair. The pockets are great and not bulky. I’m wondering if they’re discontinuing these since they’re on clearance?

I was holding off on purchasing these pants because my curvy thighs and rear end make it hard to judge online what size pants will work for me.

After accumulating more membership credits I went ahead and clicked “buy.” AM SO GLAD I DID!! The fit is amaaaazing*.

Truly some of the best fitting hiking pants I’ve ever tried — over 25+ years, at least 300 pairs and 30+ brands. The fabric quality is excellent, features are perfect (pockets to warm hands and zippered places for phone etc.), and the lovely olive green color complements the rest of my hiking apparel.

These pants fit great right out of the mailbox, have fantastic pockets, don't hinder my movement, and look good enough to wear in town. Love the extended sizing and the optional lengths, please don't change a thing!

I was shocked to discover the size guide was perfect & these fit exceptionally well! 5’3”/135# size 8 reg. Loved them so much got 1 in every color & 2 pairs of shorts. They are rugged enough to scramble over fallen trees & clean up well enough to wear to the office. Highly recommend!
