Your Nebo Windbreaker is a high performance piece of gear. It needs some extra attention to keep it performing at the highest level.
Please read through the care instructions below to ensure that you care for it properly:
Do NOT expose to bug spray containing oils or DEET. DEET will destroy synthetic fabrics. Bug spray and other things containing oils will not destroy synthetic fabric, but they will discolor your Nebo.
Before Washing
- Never wash your jacket in a washing machine that has an agitator.
- Your jacket has zippers - please zip them up completely to prevent snagging during the washing process.
- If you cannot follow either of these prior instructions you should hand wash your product
The Wash & Dry Process
- Use Nikwax Tech Wash (for technical gear).
- Choose Low Spin or Delicate wash.
- Choose Cold Wash & Cold Rinse (add extra rinse if possible).
- Hang dry until the product is completely dry.

I've come around to believe that its worth owning both raincoat and windbreaker. If the forecast is for little or no chance of rain, I'll go with this windbreaker. Otherwise their UL raincoat goes in. Both are light, but the windbreaker has the advantage of being a bit lighter, packing smaller, and most importantly it breaths well despite keeping wind out.
I live near the OV store and so I went in and tried on the jacket. Athletic sizing seems about right; I typically by a large if I lean toward tighter fit or XL if looser. I opted for the XL so that a base layer and wool vest could fit underneath and yet not have much wind flap. There is a slight bit of stretch to the fabric and that helps if the fit is on the tighter side. The hood, cuffs, and waist elastic seem good for now; time will tell how long it takes for it to stretch out.
I've used it for 3 short windy day hikes and 3 rides in the few weeks I've owned it. Its best quality is that it easily fits into your pack, even a small fanny pack or bike bag, and gives you quite a bit of protection from wind and cool temps. Best use so far is putting it on for big downhill descents on the bike after getting hot and sweaty on the climb. See photo below, XL jacket fits in brown feed bag next to large bike bottle.
Sometimes you stumble on gear that just works. That can be said for this windbreaker. Very lightweight for the change in warmth you feel. Packs down to softball size. I have this paired so far with the Altitude sun hoodie. I think the Ventus Active Hoodie will complete my layering system. I am super impressed with the quality of this gear. Big fan…
My Nebo fits the bill! Super lightweight, packs to nothing and does it's job blocking wind .... holding in some warmth and repelling moisture. I do wish there was a hand pocket, but please don't register that as a complaint. I'm a gram counter and this jacket is great!
This light jacket is cash money! Looks good, fits good, does a great job blocking cold wind. Super impressed by this product.
Light, breathable, and keeps me warm on early cool days. Once I'm warmed up it easily fits in my back pocket. If the wind come up it's easily available. Was in a light rain on my walk and I stayed dry and comfortable.
