DragonWool Hoodie

Great hoodie wear it all the time, quick dry. Wore it everyday as a mid layer for a kayak fishing trip. I’m 5’8 160 wear a medium fits snug.

Great Quality mid layer! Perfect fit but order up a size for a relaxed fit.

I'm 5'7" and weigh 169. The large fits just right with a slight loose fit to use either as a base or mid layer. I was warm in snowy 25 F temps with a base on and the hoodie as a shell. I fully recommend the hoodie and zip off bottoms as a complete set.

Out of the box I was surprised at the heft of the item. Definitely weighs more than a midweight fleece layer.
It will be great for backcountry skiing, especially being hooded.

This is great on or off the trail. It is usable as a baselayer or outer layer depending on the weather. Can't wait to get another color. The fit was perfect.

I was unfamiliar with Outdoor Vitals, but was intrigued when I came across a YouTube video describing OV products….I needed to find out more.

these are Dope!!! I got both the upper and lower. and took an EE 30-degree quilt down to 15 this year with no problems. great layer during the day for both active pursuits and when I was stuck sitting doing leadership training in the cold. worth the dollars and the weight.

For me these have been a perfect 2nd layer. They have enough stretch to allow reaching high or to allow me to pull the sleeves down to my knuckles when the temperature isn't quite cold enough for gloves. I noticed that the Dragonwool Hoodie is not in the 2025 catalog, and I'll be sad if I ever wear out the 3 that I have.

The DragonWool hoodie is so comfortable, warm and fits well. It has become my favorite mid layer. It is much more durable than light wool top I have used in the past. Love it and bought another one

Great product just works for me me

I bought mine in the summer, but didn't wear it until fall. I use it in any situation where I'd generally wear a sweater. Hey, I'm in my mid 60s, cut me some slack🥸 I love it so much I wore it for a week straight, before I gave it a break. Great mid layer.

For the weight, it is very warm. It’s a comfortable fit and stays breathable. I’m 6’2” and 210lbs, my XXL is a loose fit.

I love this piece of gear. The suggested size fit just right, XL 5’11 220 lbs. It wicks well, dries fast and is very confortable. Compared to other base layers I own, merino, capilene I like this the best.The well thought out Wool/Synthetic blend is truly the best of both worlds. I’ve seen some of your R&D videos, so I should have already known it would be great.

This is one of my favorite pieces of kit. Perfect for that cool slight breeze day on a hike. It fits perfect and allows excellent movement. I'll be ordering another in another color just to have variety. OV nailed it with this one.

This shirt looks Great, but it is not made to be worn outside. The fabric is just too fragile to be used anywhere that is can be snagged on something. I can’t imagine what it would look like after a long day under the straps of a backpack. It’s a great casual shirt, but I made the mistake of wearing it into the woods. It now has threads pulled out all over it, and I’ve found it impossible to pull them back in. Awesome shirt to wear to the office!!! Don’t wear it around sticks and leaves.

Loved the first one so much bought another. This has become a go to for me in 3 of the 4 seasons of hiking. Great part of a layering system. Love it!! Also great for casual wear as well. The material drys quick and is warm in winter and airy during the fall. Just a great material used. Definitely recommend.

I love that you are making sizes for larger folk. I still don’t like that your design assumption is that everyone has the same length arm. Because there is no cuff or gather or whatever you call it, there is nothing keeping the sleeve from sliding down over my hand. I hate that. It cost me $25 to have a short length of elastic added to make it functional.

Really like this dragon wool material!
I have several other brand merino wool hoodies that are a bit lighter in weight although this dragon wool is a bit heavier and is going to fill a nice void and will serve as a great outer layer on cool morning hikes.

This hoodie is comfortable and sturdy. It looks and feels great. Keeps me warm but breathes. Really really pleased with it.

So far I am impressed on how it works in the winter and its ability to keep the cold wind off the back of my neck. We will see how it performs in the heat when I hike the AZT.

Just the right warmth. Like the construction of the thumb hole. Doesn't cut into my thumb like other thumb holes have.
