*For measurements where two torso sizes are an option, this means that either size could work, it will depend on your personal preference on whether you like your pack to sit higher or lower on your hips.

We recommend using height & inseam length to find the correct torso size. People can measure their own torsos differently leaving room for error. However, the table below gives our recommendations if you choose to use this torso sizing method.

*high hip measurements should be taken above your belt line, and just below or at your belly button- right across your hip bones.
How To Measure Your Torso
How To Measure For Your Hip Belt
  • Standing tall, tilt your chin to your chest
  • Find your C7 Vertabra - the large lump at the base of your neck
  • Use flexible tape to measure down the length & natural curve of your spine to your iliac crest / the top of your hipbone
  • This measurment is your torso length

  • Measure directly across the belly button (or 1 inch below) and around the lower back & torso.

Awesome Product

Just returned from a short trip on the AT with my new hip belt attached to my CS40 backpack. Absolutely awesome! I actually forgot I was wearing my backpack while hiking because it’s so comfortable now that I have the right hip belt. 5 STARS!
