Before Washing
- Never wash your jacket in a washing machine that has an agitator.
- If you cannot avoid and agitator you should hand wash your pants using the detergent and drying process described below.
The Wash & Dry Process
- Use a mild detergent like Dreft (for babies) or Nikwax (for technical gear).
- Choose Low Spin or Delicate wash.
- Choose Cold Wash & Cold Rinse.
- Hang dry or use low heat setting in Drying Machine.

Altura Dynamic Pant Fabric
The Altura Dynamic Pant uses a 4 way stretch Nylon that is optimal for comfort. This 175 g/m² double-weave fabric (93% nylon, 7% spandex) offers durability, mobility, and all-day comfort with just the right amount of structure. It's soft-on-skin feel and ultralight weight led many of our testers to start calling the Altura their "tactical performance pajamas" while out on the trail.
These pants are lighter, more breathable, & give you pajama-level comfort.
One factor of the comfort levels found in the Altura Dynamic Pant is the built-in mobility features. These pants were designed to give you unrestricted range of motion for rugged conditions.
Both the gusseted crotch and articulated knees improve mobility in these pants, and the trim fit is just roomy enough, without excess.
Another factor of comfort is breathability.

I really enjoyed testing the prototype. They breathe well, dry quickly and have a very comfortable fit. They're the first good replacement I've found for the old Prana Zion.
Easily the most comfortable pair of active/outdoor pants I have ever worn....and I have owned way too many. They have just the right amount of stretch, they are very light and they showed very good durability during my testing. They breathe well and therefore do not block wind as well as heavier or more tightly woven pants. So, they wouldn't be a great choice for long sits in cold/windy conditions but for active pursuits these are top notch.
My new favorite pants….by a lot. Light, soft, durable, quiet, what else can you ask for? The cut is perfect. They don’t bunch or sag, they don’t twist around my legs when hiking. The hip vents don't let in leaves or debris. The built in belt doesn’t stretch out. I spent many nights sleeping in them they are so comfortable. You won’t know what you’ve been missing out on until you put a pair on!
I was able to test these pants during the 2024 season and really liked how well they performed. They are the perfect early-season September pant. Lightweight, breathable, and super stretchy! Plus, the hip vents are an awesome feature.
When it comes to finding the ideal outdoor pant, fit, and comfort are my priority. I want a pant that allows me to move freely, to sit, to squat and to bend without restriction. I also want a pant that has a built-in belt and has just a few necessary pockets. The Altura pant checks all those boxes and doesn’t lose its shape or comfort after wearing multiple days in the field. The ideal summer and early fall pant that does it all.
Being a shorter guy with thicker legs I’ve always struggled to find pants for the mountains that I really love. Most were too constricting in the thigh or too long. The cut on the Altura seemed to be the solution to both of those problems with a length that fell perfect and plenty of room for all day movement on hunts. They block wind surprisingly well, but dump heat via the side vents when needed. They are, for me, the best all around pants I’ve used; durable enough for the backcountry, but comfortable enough to be pajamas.
