Do not wash in a machine that has an agitator. Use mild detergent on a delicate cycle with cold water. Hang dry.

Before Washing
- Never wash your Altitude in a washing machine that has an agitator.
- If you cannot follow the prior instructions you should hand wash your product
The Wash & Dry Process
- Use mild detergent like Dreft (for babies) or Nikwax Tech Wash (for technical gear).
- Choose Low Spin or Delicate wash.
- Choose Cold Wash & Cold Rinse (add extra rinse if possible).
- Hang dry until the product is completely dry.

I now own an altitude hoodie, longsleeve and tern. Unfortunately the tern developed issues in the first few days as the nuyarn isn’t very durable. I have had this issue with multiple nuyarn based manufacturers. What’s different about this one is they said I have to pay to repair it and ship both ways.
I will not be buying anything from them as I do not have confidence in the company. Other than that, I was super excited about these products as they are exceptionally light and breathable well beyond other options.
For the record: I am no longer purchasing nuyarn either, as none of these issues have happened with other wool methodologies. And have purchased other items from those other manufacturers (that aren’t nuyarn) with no problems. The picture is after a couple of around the house wears with zero abrasive wear or use. It is on the inside left arm. I bought a bunch of nuyarn products from different companies and they all had similar issues. I don’t know what is causing it, but this is the only one that is calling it a “repair” and not simply refunding my money.
Your mileage may vary. But I am no longer considering this brand. If you are ok with having super disposable products like this that won’t last, they are absolutely awesome.
My shirt immediately started to fray, with my very first use. Zero abrasion to the shirt, just casual wear. In about 2 hours, I had around 12 spots where the material has started to unthread. Outdoor vitals doesn't care about the customer. I requested a refund and was denied. After only one day of owning the item.... 45 bucks for a shirt that won't last 3 uses. The best they offered me was to ship it back at my own expense and they would give me some sort of store credit, depending on the condition of the item... total joke. They claim it's more durable than other shirts this lightweight, I call bs. I have shirts within an ounce of this shirt that were a 1/3 of the cost and have worn for years. Wanted to love the shirt and the company, but I can't trust their product with my money. Too high of cost and they leave you hanging with any issue.
The combination of quickly drying, smooth fabric against skin and outer fabric perfect for layers to slide over. Really the perfect shirt for every hiking trip. Fantastic fit !
Great sunblock, overall protection. I was in blazing Sun in the Northeast on a 98 deg humid day and I was comfortable. That never happens!
