The LoftTek™ Hybrid UnderQuilts are the most ultralight advanced synthetic quilts in the world. The hybrid insulation allows you to handle moisture of all kinds without failure. Explore with complete confidence in your gears reliability!
This is all made possible by our LoftTek™ insulation that looks, acts and feels like down, but has a siliconized coating causing water to drain out of the insulation. This, in conjunction with 800+ FP hydrophobic coated down, creates a state of the art synergy balancing insulation stability and moisture resistance! We put this insulation into a jacket and raised almost a million dollars in pre-sales, so we decided to put it into our Quilts as well!
Our UnderQuilts offer a fully baffled design with baffling patterns optimized for stability while lowering seam weight. Mutliway suspension adjustments secure the underquilt around you as you move throughout the night.
Whether you like the confidence of synthetic, face extreme moisture that down insulation can't handle or just like the price tag, you'll be satisfied with what the LoftTek™ Hybrid UnderQuilt has to offer!

The under quilt is Decent! It’s worth the money if you’re someone who doesn’t camp much or is just getting into the hammock lifestyle. The underquilt could be improved if it was 46-48” wide for the entire length of the hammock instead of being tapered. Furthermore, the suspension used for the quilt has poor locking mechanisms and the suspension itself is 6-8” too short on both sides. Because of the short suspension the buyer is left having to customize the quilt from day one in order to be used effectively. After many years of hammock camping this is by far the best affordable option, but they could rival the best in the industry with some minor improvements.
Well, I purchased this underquilt for a trip that we just got done with October 1st 2022. The temps were originally suppose to be in the low 50sF but then dropped to 36F low so I quickly needed a better underquilt. I grabbed this one due to it being slightly more affordable.
So come to October 1st Saturday night set our hammocks up a One Tigris 8.5ft. And I put the underquilt on. Noticed it was smallish and the bungees were stretched out to the max. I was glad I put knots in the elastic as they would have went right through the clips as the clips were really weak. Night fell before too long and so did bed time so I got in and soon realized me a 5.9ft tall person's head was not under the quilt... I asked my wife to see what was up and if she could adjust it for me. We got it up so it just and I mean just was to the top of my head. After a bit I realized my feet were getting chilly while in the top quilt also rated for 15f.
Realized my feet were 1 foot out from the underquilt. I ordered the long and wide....long is for a 4ft tall person what the heck is the original for a baby???? This is ridiculous and dangerous. I had to sleep with my legs bent just to keep my feet warm.
The underquilt what it did cover was really toasty but the shortness killed it.
Hey Kyle,
Sorry to hear about your experience! The long wide size should have covered you. Please check the tag on the quilt to make sure you were sent the right size, and message support@outdoorvitals.com so we can look into this further.

I'm surprised there aren't a ton of reviews on the lofttek-hybrid UQ so I figured I'd contribute since they're comparably great to the down version. I bought myself a clearance long down 15F model and my sibling the 15F long lofttek underquilt and was a little envious of the lofttek. First point of envy came from the fact it came in the same stuff sack as my down quilt. The 11oz difference was noted since it was densely packed, but it's nice that it's equally space efficient when using synthetic. I thought it lofted great out of the sack and loved the puffy baffles. We haven't gotten to test it in the wild, but I'd use it in a heart beat with equal confidence to my down UQ. My down OV UQ kept me toasty at 32/33F under the stars where I awoke slightly damp covered in frost using a 15F sleeping bag (I forgot frost was a thing). I've only used the lofttek UQ as a temporary blanket or indoors to try it out, but I'd easily switch to the lofttek if it weren't for the weight penalty.
Both UQ I have purchased did need some extra cord length and knots at the cord locks. The quilts fit a 9 ft hammock great, but I prefer a wide 10 ft hammock. I just added some loops of shock cord at my head so I can vent up top and keep the UQ secure at my feet where I slide down anyway. I don't find width issues, since the UQ wraps around my back just fine, and my sides are insulated by my bag wrapping around me. The test of time will be the next challenge, but as of now I plan on a 0F Lofttek UQ.
I might be to wide for this underquilt. I have another underquilt that is 48 inches wide that works great for me. This 44 inch wide underquilt is tight and I have to mess with it a lot. I am not an expert so I will try to figure this out more. But the shock cord isn't long enough to fit their 11 ft hammock I had to add cordage to it to make it fit. I probably wouldn't buy this product again.
