Fortius: the name is reminiscent of "refuge" & "stronghold."  The Fortius Trekking Pole Tent is your ultimate refuge in the wild for intense adventures. Designed to surpass the limitations of traditional trekking pole tents, the Fortius is engineered to withstand the harshest conditions, from violent winds to pouring rain and lightning storms. Here's why it's the perfect companion for your rugged backcountry excursions:

  • Storm-Worthy Design: Unlike other ultralight trekking pole tents, the Fortius is truly storm-worthy. With multiple "storm points" and extra-long detachable stake lines, you have the flexibility to reinforce your shelter against the elements and pitch it in any direction, providing unparalleled protection in extreme environments.
  • Durable Nylon Construction: Crafted from durable nylon, the Fortius offers superior strength over a similar weight polyester. Our field testing has proven that minor sagging issues commonly associated with nylon can be easily resolved by retensioning the tent after initial setup, ensuring optimal performance throughout your adventure.
  • Spacious and Comfortable: Enjoy ample livable space with large protective vestibules by both doors to keep your gear sheltered and secure. Sit up fully and rest comfortably without feeling claustrophobic, thanks to the Fortius' thoughtful design that prioritizes usable space and comfort.
  • Versatile Performance: With a non-tapered bathtub floor, the Fortius can be pitched in any direction without worrying about which end you can lay your head in. The detachable storm points allow you to reinforce against wind & weather in any direction - giving you peace of mind & a better night's sleep.

Experience the full backcountry experience with the Fortius Trekking Pole Tent. With its lightweight design and durability, it's your stronghold against the elements, ensuring you stay sheltered and safe without having to sacrifice pack weight.

Good tent

Tent was very good. It withstood the high wind.
It is little small for two person but not bad as well.very light compared to other tents.
The fabric stood well for wind pressure.
Not sure how it will perform in rain.

Best trekking pole tent I've tried!

The Fortius 1P is a great and roomy solo shelter. I was reluctant to purchase another trekking pole tent after two fails with my apparent inability to correctly get a good pitch on trekking pole tent (I sucked terribly with both a Durston and Six Moon Design Lunar Solo). I watched Tayson set it up on video a dozen times and finally pulled the trigger thinking that perhaps this could be as easy as he makes it look. Let me tell you, I pitched it the day before I left for the Colorado Trail and it was soooooo easy. Took it out and had the most amazing week playing in the mountains with this tent. It survived a storm at 11,700 ft and kept me dry and cozy. This is by far my favorite tent I've ever used. And as long as I don't pitch it next to a creek (oops) there is very little condensation inside.
If you're on the fence, get the tent. You won't regret it. In fact, I'm getting ready to replace our SMD Lunar Duo tent that has served us well for a decade with the Fortius 2P tent. It's a fantastic tent. Get it!

Love this tent!

This is the easiest trekking pole tent to set up. It’s roomy and well made. It’s actually my second one that I’ve purchased. I loved my first one so much I gifted it to my Daughter to use as her tent. She loves it too.

Fortius 2P Tent Motocamp

I purchased this tent for my Motocamping adventures because of the specs, light, packs small and poles (carbon trekking pole replacement) are minimal. Tested this weekend out in the desert of AZ. Very happy with how easy it was to set up and take down. Weather was breezy with a low of 39*. Very happy with my choice. Would recommend for any motocamper!

Still testing...

The Fortius 2P is off to a mixed start. Only one night in the tent so far. It was 83 degrees during the day and down to 53 at night. No rain forecasted so I kept both sides fully open on the tent to hopefully avoid condensation. No such luck... The conditions were just too conducive to condensation buildup. So that was worse than expected. The positive, the tent is super easy to setup, and I love the features. Very roomy with good head room. I think the tent will perform great during the summer, but when the temperature drops a lot from day to night, I think I will be bringing a double wall tent. Looking forward to more time in it to really test it.
